England’s teacher shortage could worsen soon after the government rejected appeals by dozens of recognized providers to gain formal accreditation for their preliminary instructor instruction courses. Only 179 out of 240 present programs have been accredited by the Section for Education (DfE) below its new standards for initial trainer education from 2024, and the DfE has now turned down all appeals from classes that skipped out, like all those operate by the universities of Durham, Sussex and UWE Bristol.
